The Market for This Bittensor TAO Subnet is Huge!

SUMMARY: In this video, Gordon Frayne explores It’s AI (Subnet 32) on the Bittensor network, presenting it as a market leader in the rapidly growing field of AI text detection. Gordon argues that as generative AI models like GPT-4, Gemini, and Claude continue to improve, the need for reliable tools to distinguish human writing from machine-generated text is becoming critical, highlighting the massive demand coming from the education sector, where thousands of universities and high schools globally are scrambling for reliable tools to verify student work.

Gordon conducts a live demo of the platform, showing its ability to distinguish between a 100% AI-generated script and a human-written article from 8 years ago with high confidence. He breaks down the financial potential, estimating a Total Addressable Market (TAM) of roughly $200 million. He projects that if the project captures just 2-3% of the US education market, it could generate $3–5 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), positioning it as a highly lucrative business beyond just the crypto tokenomics.

A key focus of the discussion is the project’s traction outside of the Bittensor ecosystem. Gordon reveals that It’s AI is already running active pilots with two private schools in the UAE, proving its ability to “pierce the veil” and generate real-world utility. He emphasizes that this external revenue generation is critical for any subnet to survive and thrive long-term, as it reduces reliance on network emissions alone.

Overall, Gordon presents It’s AI as a fundamental infrastructure play for the AI era. He notes that for investors, the subnet currently offers a 40% staking APY, providing a strong incentive to participate while the project scales its enterprise and educational partnerships.

  1. Can people like Gordon who talk about subnets expected to do well provide a disclosure that they or their immediate relatives have not bought those tokens in the last 15/30 days. This is a good practice followed in the real world. Can it be adopted in the crypto world please.
